ST. MARY'S CHURCH AND THE CHAPEL, DENTON

In Denton there is a shared ministry, an ecumenical project between the Anglican and United Reformed churches started in 1986.  Services are shared between the two buildings, with the regular congregation happily attending both.

Services in both the St. Mary's church and the chapel are relatively informal. On the first Sunday of each month there is an all-age service at St Mary’s, preceded by bacon rolls, and we are privileged to have a variety of preachers at the chapel, each with his or her unique style.

The chapel recently celebrated it's 350th anniversary.

Currently we are working towards establishing a Sunday School to cater for the younger children in the village, building on the very successful holiday clubs. We are also fundraising to install a toilet at the church.
